Mohamad Faour: Facilitating groundbreaking partnerships

Currently working as a Partnerships Manager for a company called Dsquares, Mohamad Faour is a 34 year old Palestinian who has lived in Saudi Arabia almost all his life. Dsquares is the biggest full-service loyalty solutions provider in Africa and the Middle East.

“My main focus in this role is to acquire and sign with different types of companies to join different loyalty programmes. I manage the full sales cycle – this ranges from resourcing potential collaborations to managing key accounts along with other different requirements,” Mohamad shares.

Mohamad graduated from the BA (Hons) in Event Management programme. However, it didn’t take him long after graduation to decide that his interest was skewed towards Public Relations and Partnerships.
Whether it’s a small, independent business or a multinational corporation, every company needs a reliable PR department. PR plays a vital role in maintaining a company’s reputation, and ensuring that it is viewed positively by the public.

“I believe event management gave me the courage and the skills to blend easily in this field. I’m a social person, I have a social personality, and as soon as I started working in this field I was sure it’s something I could do for a long time,” he says.

Mohamad took us down memory lane while he reminisced about his days as an event manager for an event for the Saudi national day. “My team was given a minimum budget and I had to execute the event with over 20x the budget I had. We pulled off the impossible by executing and managing an event that was attended by over 50,000 people,” Mohamad shares. “You can achieve anything if you work hard, that’s the only way to reach where you want.”
